THE STUDIO

Welcome to Valley Sound Studio - A humble, home-based studio in Upper Hutt, Wellington that aims to serve the needs of local musicians.
My mission is simple: To provide an affordable service to local musicians that helps bring their vision to life.
You won't find 1,000 different microphones here, but I have carefully invested in a range of quality equipment including analog outboard gear to create a great sounding track. You will also find a local recording engineer who has the time to listen carefully to your vision.
The studio is comprised of two rooms:
The Lounge Bar: A larger acoustically treated room with a fully-stocked bar, comfortable lounge, B&W sound-system for listening and view of the Wi Tako Ngatata Scenic Reserve. This is the main space used for most recording as well as consultations.
Mixing & Vocal Room: A smaller but more heavily acoustically treated space used for mixing and recording vocals in isolation.

Wake Up - Adam Murfitt
A local artist wrote the lyrics for this song many years ago and wanted to finally record it before moving overseas. He enlisted my help with the production on this song and the aim was to sound similar in style to the band, "White Lies".
Down In The Heights
A collaboration between a couple of local artists and a lyricist. The goal was to create a song that captures a 1970's rock vibe.
